Quicksilver long range fuel tanks
|
|
| Our entire line of Fiberglass fuel tanks
are custom tooled to produce a product that will fit in the exact location of the original fuel tank.
All hardware is of stainless steel or aluminum alloys for corrosion resistance. |

The fuel filler neck
is hot dipped zinc coated steel. The fuel cap is a self venting,
pressure regulated,
1/4 turn bayonet type made of zinc plated steel. Chrome plated steel caps are available.
The body of our Sprint/ II & Sport/ II
tanks are gel coat White.
The top of the tanks are translucent.
Internal walls of our tanks are coated with the same compound
commonly used in the marine industry.
All tanks are tested to one atmosphere for a period of at least 15
minutes.
Includes female threads**, mounting hardware, self venting fuel
cap, anti-splash fill neck,non-calibrated translucent sight gauge and hold
down strap. Standard color is white. Other colors are possible.
Weight: 12 lbs. This tank replaces the factory tank on root tube
and reuses existing fittings. Wings do not need to be removed for
installation.

If your a/c uses a 66" diameter (or larger) propeller this
tank will fit. Will not fit on early model MX's. (Although we have heard
of some successful installations)
**Can also be supplied for use with rubber bushings.

fittings you will be using.

Quicksilver GT 500 18 GAL FUEL TANK
Complete assembly includes female threads, all
mounting hardware, self venting fuel cap, anti-splash fill neck, heavy
duty alum. support structure and installation instructions.
The entire
tank is translucent. Tank measures:36" long X 18" wide X 8" tall. This
tank replaces the factory tank on the root tube & reuses existing
fittings.
The wings must be removed for installation. Weight: 20 Lbs. |

mounting plates, straps, and hold down brackets.
The rotational molded
high density polyethylene tank is supplied with fuel cap and 1/4" fuel

Existing support plates are removed. Some drilling and

This
tank replaces the existing 5 gallon tank. The existing support plates are
reused. The Tank is secured using 2 1" wide nylon straps.
The rotational
molded high density polyethylene tank is suppliedwith fuel cap and 1/4"
fuel line hose barb.
Some drilling is required (2ea. 3/16" holes.) |

SEAT TANK
Attaches to the back of all Quicksilver type
ultralight seats. Includes on-off valve, sight window, vent and mounting
hardware. Additional fuel line is needed. A fuel line "T" will also be
needed if using in conjunction with root tube tank.
A squeeze type
primer bulb should be used with these fuel tank applications. |

Note:
Standard fuel tank for the Single place
Sprint and Sport aircraft is 5 gallons
and the fittings are held in place using rubber bushings (thread less).
Standard tank for the Two place Sprint II & Sport II is 6 gallons and
the fittings are threaded.
Standard GT 500 tank is 8 gallons.
