SYSTEM THREE AIRCRAFT COVERING MATERIAL
These highly durable, leading-edge coatings set a
new standard for ease of use, environmental safety, and cost. They also make it
possible for skilled amateurs to achieve professional looking results. WR-155 is
a water reduceable two-part epoxy primer. WR-LPU is a water-reduceable two-part
linear polyurethane topcoat. These are the perfect paints to use over any epoxy
or polyester coating.
WR-155 is a high build, easily sandable base for
WR-LPU. It is available in off-white or light gray. Recoat within an hour when
sprayed, two to three hours when brushed. It covers about 350 square feet per
gallon. We recommend two-to-three coats for a high-build base. WR-COR is the
yellow-green anti-corrosive primer for aluminum. It is used just like WR-155.
WR-LPU is available in white, clear and colors.
It rivals solvent-based paints in durability, weatherability and UV resistance.
One gallon covers about 500 square feet. We recommend at least two coats. Allow
some waste if spraying. System Three coatings work together as a complete
system. Apply the primer (WR-155 or WR-COR) first to get some coat build.
Prepare the primed surface and apply the topcoat (WR-LPU white or pigmented).
The topcoat will dry to a semi-gloss. For a full gloss "wet look", apply WR-LPU
clear over the topcoat.
Use System Three water reduceable coatings over
epoxy and polyester resin surfaces that are not constantly immersed in water. We
have achieved good results applying WR-155 primer and WR-LPU topcoat over bare
wood. However, varying moisture content, type of wood, and exposure will affect
long-term results.
