The "Aircraft Carrier,"  from Tampa Bay Six Chuter.

Tampa Bay Six Chuter - The Aircraft Carrier - Lon Chaney of Clearwater Florida had a problem, he enjoyed flying his Six Chuter PPC but with a bad back wasn't able to load and unload it from his truck. So like most grass roots aviator he designed something to fix the problem - the Aircraft Carrier.

The Aircraft Carrier is ideal for Powered Parachutes or trikes and for that matter would probably work with off road vehicles.  Lon has designed a platform that fits into the bed of full size pickup trucks, and mini trucks. The platform moves on a set of channels, and is powered by a remote electric winch, which is connected to the platform with a cable.

Releasing the winch allows the platform to retract off the back of the truck while activating it pulls the platform, loaded with the trike, ppc, or ?? unto the truck. The approximate weight of the unit installed is 160 lbs. and the winch load is 2500 lbs.

The main body of the carrier can be removed by removing two easily accessible bolts. Another advantage of the Aircraft Carrier is that your PPC/Trike is tucked safely into the back of the pick up box rather than being towed behind on a trailer, vehicle being hit by debris coming off the truck. It also allows for one unit to be in the back of the truck and another on a trailer.
