Light Wing Aircraft, the X Air distributor for the U.S. unveiled their
latest Model the X Air H. The H model has a wider cockpit than the stand
Xair, adjustable seats, dual controls, twin throttles, flaps and toe
brakes on one side. The kit is all pre fabricated with all of the
control systems all ready prebuilt and covered. The kit uses bolt together
construction, and using the very comprehensive 135 page manual should take
about 120 hours to build.
The control system is standard stick and rudder, and the H model is
equipped with flaps. With the engine out front under a cowl and the
standard control system, conventional pilot should transition into an X
Air H with little difficulty.
Power can be supplied by the Rotax 582 65 HP engine, the Jabiru 80 HP 4
stroke and is being set up for the Rotax 912 series.
Up and flying the craft with flaps stalls in the 40 mph range climb
comes in between 900 and 1100 feet per minute, with a comfortable cruise
of 85 t0 90 mph.
