Bushwhacker Air is now a distributor for Rocky Mountain Wings. They are
handling the full line which include the Ridge Runner 1, Ridge Runner 11,
and Ridge Runner 111. The Ridge Runner series of aircraft kits feature a
4130 chromoly steel fuselage, with aluminum spar ladder construction style
wings. The quick build kit will take about 500 hours to build. The Ridge
Runner series of aircraft all have the folding wing capabilities, and can
be towed on their own wheels for short distances. When powered by the 503
Rotax engine cruise is 80 mph climb 1000 feet per minute with a stall of
35 mph.
Standard stick and rudder controls are used with a center mounted
stick.
Bushwhacker is also now the distributor the Rotec 7 cylinder radial
engine. The engine has been in production for 4 years, 40 of them are
currently flying. The engine comes complete with alternator, start,
carburator, dual ignition, fuel pump, stump exhaust, and hardware
mounting.
It produces 110 horsepower at 3700 rpm through a 3 to 2 reduction drive
and spins a 76 x 55 propeller, Fuel consumption at 80% power is 5.7
gallons an hour. All of the parts are made in house on factory C & C
machinery. |

Bushwhacker is also an outlet for the Czech Aircraft Works Aluminum
Floats. The all-aluminum floats are built of modern aircraft aluminum
alloys, and feature individual compartments separated by full-size
bulkheads, with a rugged custom extruded keel, and a “walkway” stiffener along
the top. 3M “marine adhesive sealant” makes the floats watertight,
and the interior is corrosion proofed with zinc chromate. The floats are
available in sizes from 500 to 2200 lbs in straight or amphibious floats. |
