Another innovative idea from Stream
Lined is an exhaust ball joint conversion kit.
The kit which can be used on all Rotax, and Hirth two stroke
engines eliminates the springs and hooks, and replaces them with the
more "conventional aircraft" style exhaust connection.
This helps eliminate the problem of
exhaust springs and hooks failing and going into your expensive
propeller, possibly causing an
emergency landing, and damage to your aircraft!
The kit which is constructed of
stainless steel, with AN hardware is easy to install!
Rotax 912 coupler - I have found that
the use of these couplers will help eliminate cracking in the pipes
on a 912 series engine. Place them in the pipe between the head and
the exhaust cannister.
Note the pipes are NOT part of the kit - they are used here to show
how the system mounts.
