BRS ballistic parachute save
#126 |
|
The trike pilot banked into a descending spiral to get down quickly.
Pulling out hard from the spiral, the Tukan trike's control bar
down tubes collapsed at 1,500 feet. The trike began to enter a spin and
raced toward the ground. "I was in a tight spiral when my
down tubes buckled. The wing folded back like a butterfly landing on a
window ledge. When I pulled, witnesses said I was no more than 150 from
the ground. I'm alive to write this letter. I thank God and you,
BRS!"
Result: Pilot survived!
