Information is sketchy on this incident, but the reporter
indicated that a para glider pilot deployed his Wedge 18 (a small, hang
glider-style system) successfully and walked away without any
injury.
"After soaring around in his
para glider (a slope-launched parachute of 7:1 performance), the pilot
encountered strong turbulence.
The aircraft was upset so violently that
the pilot literally fell into his wing, completely deflating his
normally very stable canopy. He deployed at about 200 feet AGL
Result: Pilot Survived!
