BRS ballistic parachute save
#102 |
During a pleasure flight one pretty day, Robert Hendrix
turned to enter the downwind leg of the pattern when the control stick
broke off. Bob landed in a field near the runway, unhurt.
He had
deployed at about 200 feet above ground level.
"Flying a Talon XP is usually a splendid
experience, but metal fatigue can strike even the best aircraft. When
the joystick failed, the decision to add a BRS emergency parachute
looked like the wisest thing in the world. Looks like you 'saved'
another one, BRS!"
Result: Pilot
Survived!
