The
third model the R 8 can only be offered in the Experimental or Light Sport
Category because of it's weight and speed.
All three aircraft are developed from the same building concept, a
concept that has been used in the gyrocopter industry for years, that is
the use of square aluminum tubing bolted together. This coupled with a
Bi-Plane design provides a strong Part 103 U.S. legal ultralight
which is compact, light weight, and can withstand higher loadings than a
typical strut braced monoplane design.
All three models are offered in a standard kit format, or Quick Build,
with the ultralight versions available as pre-built ready to fly.
In kit format the planes should take 200 hours to build with no jigging
required. The plane is powered by a Rotax 447, 60 mph cruise, stall 30
without flaps, climb rate 700 feet per minute.
The planes have been built since 2001, and the proto type has over 200
hours on it. Current production delivery time is approximately 2 weeks.
