This rugged two place aircraft has a 6' 6" center to center
landing gear, tough bungee cord suspension system, a 33 cubic foot
storage area behind the seats, and seats that fold forward or can be laid
all the way back to form a bed. The seats are also adjustable to fit
pilots as short as 5 feet up to over 6 feet 8 inches".
The Highlander uses standard dual stick and rudder controls, with flaps
and a center mounted throttle. It comes with balanced rudders and
elevator, has an extended wing with Vortex generators. When powered by the
Rotax 912 S it cruises along at 100 mph and stalls at 27 mph with flaps.
Both doors and windows can be opened or closed in flight.
The fuselage comes pre-welded and powder coated, and should take the
average builder between 400 and 600 hours to build, with kits currently
ready for delivery.
