JK 05 Junior two place ultralight trainer

With the changes in the Canadian ultralight regulations in 1992, which increased the weights of ultralights in Canada to 1200 lbs (recently amended to 1232) the types of "ultralight" aircraft available to the Canadian ultralight pilot are mind boggling.

These can range from powered parachutes, and trikes to all composite craft such as the JK O5 Junior displayed at Airventure 2002 by Skypath Corporation of Waterdown Ontario Canada. The JK O5 is produced in the Poland, it features side by side seating, standard stick and rudder controls, with a center joy stick, with flaps, electric trim, intercom,  a wide upholstered cabin with a massive instrument panel, and gull wing style doors for easy entry and access from the craft.

Power is supplied by the 78 hp Verner engine. Cruise speed at 75% power is 160 km/h, stall with flaps 35 mph, with a climb rate of 1000 feet per minute.

Cruise speed is 100mph, with a climb rate of 1000 feet per minute, the craft on display is the first in North America, but the design has been flying for over 6 years in Europe.
