Over the years it seems that more European companies comes to show off their
wares at Airventure than at Sun N Fun. This year there were a number of new
light aircraft designs unveiled including a new helicopter - the Dynali
manufactured in Belgium. The machine and company are still in the "infancy
stage" - the craft on display had about 60 hours on it and is the
original prototype. Production of factory built units is scheduled to begin
early in the fall. The Dynali will be offered in kit form complete with the 912 S 100 hp Rotax engine, and all of the special tools required to assemble it. Building times are expected to be in the 200 hour range. The craft is driven from the Rotax 912 engine using an 8 belt system, which then drives a shaft to spin the rotor and tail. The main airframe is stainless steel, with the landing skids made from aluminum, the enclosure is made from an acrylic material . Standard helicopter controls are used, cyclic and collective, with the throttle correlated with the collective, pitch on the tail rotors is controled via the rudder pedals. Cost approximately $78,000 EURO - the company could not quote a price in U.S. funds.
